ILLUSION FACTORY is a famous Czech documentary film from 1937 about the Barrandov Studios in Prague, which used to be nicknamed ÔÇťHollywood of the EastÔÇŁ by filmmakers.
In the period between the world wars, the studios with their modern equipment, fast production and elegant atmosphere did not lag behind the much bigger German Babelsberg Studios. With
a gentle humor and understanding view taken from a detached perspective, the film lets the viewers see something of the cooking secrets of filmmaking.
Our ILLUSION FACTORY would like to make up exactly the same unostentatious nonchalance of a gathering in a good restaurant, as we know it from unforgettable old movies. And we will be honored if it becomes your favorite restaurant as well.
The authors of the visual design of the restaurant are Messrs. Pavel H┼Öebeck├Ż, acad. arch. and Jan Pi┼ít─Ťk, acad. art.
